Prayer for Daily Neglects

Eternal Father,
I offer Thee the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
with all its love,
all its sufferings and all its merits.

First:

To expiate all the sins
I have committed this day and during all my life.

Glory be...

Second:

To purify the good I have done poorly this day
and during all my life.

Glory be...

Third:

To supply for the good I ought to have done,
and that I have neglected this day and all my life.

Glory be...

A Poor Clare sister who had just died,
appeared to her Abbess who was praying for her,
and said to her: "I went straight to heaven,
for, by means of this prayer, recited every evening,
I paid all my debts."

Could you tell me where this prayer owes it origin? Do you have one for a Morning Offering too? Very many thanks,

This prayer has been published for many, many years in various prayer books and on the internet, but I have never seen any information beyond what I posted. As far as I know there is no way to verify the authenticity of the revelation, but the offering of the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to the Eternal Father for our daily neglects can only be of immense value.

I have previously posted a morning offering for souls in purgatory. Is that what you are referring to or something else?

O my God, deign to accept my every thought, word, and action as a loving petition to Thy mercy on behalf of the suffering souls in Purgatory, particularly _____. I unite to Thy Sacred Passion the trials and contradictions of this day, which I purpose to bear with patience, in expiation for the sins and infidelities which retain Thy children in the purifying flames of Purgatory. Amen. ~ From Tan Publishers, Stories About Purgatory ~
