In a televised interview with Mother Angelica on EWTN (originally aired April 15, 1997), Father Scheier revealed very personal details about his escape from death and eternal damnation through the intercession of our Blessed Mother. Father Scheier said, "I learned my lesson, but it took Him breaking my neck and the threat of eternal damnation just to get my attention, but I would go through the same thing...I would never want to go back to the way I was--ever!"
